St. Pete Heat

This grower has a photo album.

We launched St. Pete Heat, our own hot sauce line last August after years of encouragement from our friends and family who were convinced that others would also enjoy the fresh flavor of our uniquely flavored sauces. Our sauces are a labor of love as we grow the peppers and use only freshest ingredients – no chili pepper oil extracts or canned products.

Originally, we crafted two – a medium heat sweet blueberry, which we call Sweet Blazin’ Blue and a warmer cilantro, curry and Key Lime sauce entitled Mean Green. A few months later, we created two more sauces for the market, using our smoked hot pepper powder: Killer Carrot and Hell Screamin’ Habanero. These two sauces are both hotter than our first two flavors but are every bit as flavorful and easy to incorporate into just about any recipe by adding just the right secret ingredient into soups, stews and roasts.
“A little bit of sunshine and heat is packaged in every product we make.” shines true with my own creation, Spiced Apple Berry Crumb Pie. The pie made with our Blueberry hot sauce gives just a hint of heat at the end and leaves you craving more. We hope to share our recipes with you right here on this site, but if you cannot wait, our recipes are available on our Website, www.stpeteheat.com.

Last spring we became certified by the Dept of Agriculture to sell plants from our backyard nursery and do so under the name Annie’s Urban Farm. We specialize in local, seasonal herbs and the hottest most sought after pepper plants available. We grow everything from seed. We have ten chickens who provide lots of fertilizer for our compost bins. During the spring, Annie prepares seasonal flower and herb baskets. These two businesses compliment one another enabling us to sell hot pepper sauce and hot chili pepper plants.

We hope you try our products, share your opinions with us, and of course, share the little bit of sunshine and heat from St. Petersburg with your friends and family.

Warmly,
Annie and Marg
